Enhanced OpsNow Abnormal Cost Alarm Features

OpsNow Team
April 3, 2025

OpsNow has long provided abnormal cost detection using both user-defined rules and AI-powered analysis, alerting users through real-time notifications.

With the launch of the Abnormal Cost Alarm List and Abnormal Cost Alarm Details, managing and analyzing unexpected cloud expenses is now easier and more powerful than ever.

These new features act as a central control hub for identifying, investigating, and managing anomalies across your cloud environment. The Abnormal Cost Alarm List displays all detected anomalies for a selected time period in a clear table format. Each alarm is classified by severity and detection method—either user rule-based or AI-driven—so users can quickly understand the frequency and nature of abnormal costs.

In addition to summarizing all detected alarms, the list highlights the most frequent causes of alerts and the services responsible for the highest cost fluctuations. This helps users respond quickly to potential issues. The interface also allows users to view detailed detection records, adjust notification settings and severity levels, and download reports for further analysis.

While the Alarm List offers a high-level overview, the Abnormal Cost Alarm Details provide a deeper analysis of each incident. For any selected date or service, users can compare the predicted cost against the actual cost incurred and review the AI model's rationale for flagging the anomaly. A detailed breakdown of the services contributing to the abnormal costs is also provided in table format.

Alarm settings can be easily reviewed and adjusted from the details page, and helpful links are available for users seeking further information or support.

These features are accessible through the OpsNow menu and the user dashboard widget, giving you a seamless and efficient way to stay in control of your cloud spend.
