- ‘FinOps KPIs’, a data-driven performance management framework, addresses the practical challenges of FinOps adoption

- Provides KPI setting and performance tracking based on 17 KPI items selected by experts, AI-based goal recommendations, and role-based customized dashboards

- Supports establishing a performance-based FinOps culture through AI-recommended KPI setting and moving through performance tracking, execution, and continuous optimization.

OpsNow (https://opsnow.io), a specialized company in AI-based multi-cloud management platforms, announced on the 8th that it has launched a new feature, “FinOps KPIs”, in its cloud cost optimization solution, OpsNow FinOps Plus.

The newly released FinOps KPIs is designed for performance-driven cloud cost management. It provides a structured governance framework for companies struggling with FinOps adoption and aims to move beyond simple cost reports toward establishing a practical, performance-based cloud operations culture.

In reality, many companies fail to secure execution power during FinOps adoption due to challenges such as the lack of a shared communication language between finance and engineering, difficulties in setting quantitative KPIs beyond cost savings, and the absence of a system for performance tracking and improvement. As a result, organizational changes often remain one-off actions based on intuition or guesswork, without leading to a repeatable improvement cycle. To address these issues, OpsNow has introduced FinOps KPIs in its OpsNow FinOps Plus solution, transforming scattered data into clear KPI stories so that each organization can achieve execution-driven FinOps.

FinOps KPIs is an integrated feature that supports KPI setting and performance tracking based on 17 KPI items selected by experts, AI-based goal recommendations, and role-based customized dashboards. Users can directly set practical KPIs such as cost optimization opportunities, storage efficiency, and the ratio of unused reserved instances. Based on the past three months of data, AI recommends target values to reduce the burden of initial setup. In addition, role-specific visual dashboards for finance, engineering, and leadership personas enable the creation of an execution-focused FinOps environment without the need for additional configuration.

With just three simple steps, organizations can establish an execution culture based on KPIs. First, set KPI goals recommended by AI based on past data. Next, assign responsibility by providing each team with a role-based KPI template. Finally, compare and analyze team performance to identify weaknesses and derive joint improvement measures, building an execution-driven FinOps operational framework.

Seungwoo Park, CEO of OpsNow, stated, “It is now necessary to move beyond simply checking cloud costs and shift to a ‘performance-based management framework’ that enables each organization to proactively set and execute its goals. FinOps KPIs is the tool that makes this possible.” He added, “As Korea’s first FinOps-certified platform, we will help customers derive real business value from their cloud investments through a reliable, execution-focused framework.”

Earlier this year, OpsNow became the first Korean company to earn the status of FinOps Certified Platform (FCP) from the global nonprofit FinOps Foundation. Launched in May, OpsNow FinOps Plus is a cloud cost optimization solution that automates the entire process from budgeting to anomaly detection, cost-saving automation, and policy-based governance, supporting execution-oriented FinOps. It is officially listed on the AWS Marketplace in Korea.

The newly released FinOps KPIs is available in the Standard plan or higher of OpsNow FinOps Plus, currently supporting AWS environments first, with future expansion to Azure and GCP planned. To celebrate the launch, OpsNow is offering new customers a three-month free trial of the Premium plan as part of a promotional campaign.
